I'm Elle.

Before weddings, I was already behind a camera, shooting fashion and editorial work, then moving through brand marketing, social strategy, content. A lot of creative hats. But somewhere in the middle of all of that, weddings were the one thing I never stopped shooting.

I shoot the way I'd want my own wedding photographed, with tenderness, and without a script. My eye follows the couple, but also the people around them: a parent's face mid-speech, old friends catching each other's eye across the room. Not heavily posed, never templated into a style. Every couple is different, so getting to know each one matters more to me than a shot list.

On a personal note: I got married myself last year, in Chiang Mai. Being on the other side of the camera for once taught me a lot about what actually matters to a couple on their day, and it isn't the shot list.

At home, I've got two very opinionated dogs, Einstein and Cookie, who supervise most of what I do. We also just moved into a new place, which I've been slowly turning into a home (a lot of that lives on my other Instagram, @the550apt, if you're curious).

At home I keep an album of photos with couples I've worked with, plus the appreciation notes they've left me after. It's what keeps me in love with wedding photography. I'm a sentimental fool about it.

Some of my favourite moments happen after the wedding is over entirely, dinners with couples months later, catching up like old friends. I'm hoping to have more of these rare connections.
